Centbee is a Bitcoin (Cash) wallet provider that makes it easy for ordinary people to buy, hold and spend Bitcoin at retailers and other merchants.
Centbee is a payment company specialising in merchant payments, cross-border remittances and other cryptocurrency related services. Founded in late 2016 its stated goal is to "Bring Bitcoin to Africa.
We see the opportunity to leverage the Bitcoin Cash cryptocurrency network to provide services to a global customer base. We provide an intuitive Bitcoin (Cash) mobile wallet to hold Bitcoin (Cash). That wallet can be used to send and receive Bitcoin (Cash) easily to friend and family, and to pay real-world merchants. Currently, few merchants accept Bitcoin, and we believe that we can provide simple and reliable interfaces to allow any merchant to register and receive payment - settled into their bank account in fiat currency. This removes the risk of Bitcoin price volatility and leverages the immutability of the crypto-currency network.
Our remittance model uses Bitcoin Cash as the 'rails' to make cross-border payments to support family as easy and cheap as possible. The social importance of this service cannot be overemphasized, and we believe that through providing a commercial service, we are helping people to connect with and provide for their loved ones. We recognise the need to inform and educate regulators, merchants, media and customers around Bitcoin and crypto-currencies. Lorien is in high demand at international conferences and private events, where he is able to make anyone an expert in only an hour.
