Decorum is a solution based company that provides Life, Funeral and Disability Cover, Stokvel Administration Systems and Insurance Administration Systems to clients and service providers in the Financial Services industry.
Decorum is a Financial Services company that focuses on providing risk management solutions that protect our customers’ wealth and assets when life event based eventualities happen. We also provide technology that enables cost-efficiencies to businesses that operate in the Financial Services Environment.
We operate primarily in the long-term insurance market that distributes life and funeral assurance products. We pride ourselves with our product development and product distribution skills that continue to set us apart in the market.
Decorum provides a lot of support to Stokvels and Burial Societies and this enables them to better achieve their financial goals.
Value creation for our shareholders is directly linked to the value we create for our clients. By optimising the value proposition of our products and services, we optimise our ability to retain existing clients and to grow our new business volumes profitably, thereby growing the base on which we earn commission and margins. Combining this with a focus on operational efficiencies, we are able to maximise long-term value creation for shareholders.
Caskey is a dynamic entrepreneur that uses his 27 years of Financial Service and Telecommunication expertise to build not only his own business but also empowers other businesses. He is skilled in creating Sales Distribution Channels, effecting business turnaround for ailing companies, especially in the financial Services and Telecoms space. His experience of managing businesses that he helped grow to turn over R200m in annual revenue is what gives him comfort in his dream of creating the largest black-owned Stokvel driven insurance company in the country.
He is passionate about strategy, innovation and constantly seeks to find ways and means of creating operational efficiencies in projects and businesses that he works in.
He worked through his career without his matric, where he only got his matric certificate in 2014 after working at various organisations at an executive level with them appreciating the value he was adding in spite of his shortfall. This was brought about by the political unrest that negatively influenced the school system in the 1980’s but was determined to work hard enough to be something significant in the community.
He expanded his career by studying at Wits Business School and Rhodes Investec Business School where his entrepreneurial flair was cemented and that led him to start a Call Centre Based business that operated at 3 locations with a total staff complement of just below 200.
He is very passionate about Stokvels as he has been involved in many of them when his family made him represent them at meetings and that is where he saw inefficiencies and gaps that he vowed to address to help this successful market achieve more than what they expected.
He is a member of the Institute of Directors, a Non-Executive Chairman of PROTEC and serves as a reliable contributor to the executive of the Black Brokers Forum that has over 600 affiliated black brokers.
He is a Gold member of AlphaCode and plans to make Decorum a business that is attractive enough for potential investors to enable his business to scale to higher levels.
