Jade Capital Partners (Pty) Limited is a 100% black women owned and managed investment holding company founded in 2013 by Zola Ntwasa and Bukelwa Bulo.

The primary focus of the company is investments in the property sector, including direct property investments as well as investments in property services companies. The company will also implement strategic investments in non-property related investments.

Jade, though its subsidiary Jade Property Investments, seeks to acquire for long-term investment purposes, controlling and/or minority stakes in direct properties as well as property services companies.
The company’s objective is to invest in income-producing and cash generative properties that are in prime locations, with excellent value-enhancing potential in the long term. The following sectors are the key targeted areas:
Niche/specialized residential property, such as affordable housing and student accommodation.
Jade Capital’s objective is to create a diversified and stable property portfolio over the long term and be the leading black women controlled property company in South Africa.
Jade Capital, intends to invest in companies that are looking for medium to long-term BEE equity partners. Jade Capital will invest in companies with the following characteristics (amongst others):
- Strong Management teams with a proven track record
- Strong cash flow generation capability, and
- Positive growth prospects.
The shareholders will invest in companies where they will be able to build a strong partnership with the management team to add value and provide strategic input to the investee company.
Zola is a founder and executive director of Jade Capital Partners. She was previously a director of the Real Estate Finance Division of Standard Bank, heading up the New Business Team, where she was a member of the Executive Committee and the Deal Approval Committee. Her role included the management of key client portfolios. Prior to this, she was an Investment Banker having held roles in the BEE Finance and Investments Division of Standard Bank and as a Corporate Finance Consultant at Investec Bank Limited. Zola serves as a non-executive director on the board of Hospitality Property Fund, listed on the JSE Limited. She was the 2014 Chairperson of the Women’s Property Network (Gauteng) and is a member of South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA), African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA), and the Association of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA). She holds a B-Comm (University of Cape Town with Honours in Accounting (University of Natal), CA(SA).
Bukelwa is a founder and executive director of Jade Capital. She has over 12 years of experience in Investment Banking, having worked for 11 years in the Private Equity Division of Investec Bank Limited. She has obtained exposure to a wide spectrum of sectors including the hospitality, quick service restaurant, industrial services, engineering, retail and wholesale sectors. Bukelwa has served as a non-executive director on the boards (and board committees) of the following companies: Franki (Pty) Ltd, Plumblink (Pty) Ltd, Kumnandi Food company (Pty) Ltd, Anglo V3 Crane Hire (Pty) Ltd, Elcon Cranes and Construction (Pty) Ltd, Protea Hospitality Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Metaf Investment Holdings and The Business Place (eQonce). She has also represented Investec Bank Limited as an observer on the boards of Kensani Corrections (Pty) Ltd, African Revival Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Tsiya Radio (Pty) Ltd, Tsiya Group (Pty) Ltd, and Shanduka Group (Pty) Ltd.
Bukelwa is a non-executive director on the board of Unispan Holdings (Pty) Ltd, and is also a member of the Women’s Property Network in Gauteng. She holds a B Bus Sc (Finance and Accounting) (University of Cape Town), Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (University of Cape Town); CFA, Program for Leadership Development (Harvard Business School).
