The Nobuntu People’s Fund is looking to change the world through the design and distribution of community-minded savings products which pay our members more as they live for longer. Nobuntu is using the power of communities to ensure that a long life is a cause for celebration.
Nobuntu was founded to solve a problem. Our aim is to ensure that all South Africans are able to grow old in comfort. In achieving this we hope to revolutionise the retirement savings industry in South Africa.
To do this, Nobuntu designs and distributes community-minded savings products which help South Africans prepare for old age. We have created a system whereby people pool whatever savings they have for investment and share in the risks and gains associated with these savings through investment in comparatively low-risk instruments.
We are establishing a community – a savings ecosystem where people invest and earn returns on a peer-to-peer basis, creating mutual value for all members – something which is simply unattainable on an individual level.
At Nobuntu, we believe that every South African deserves to grow old in comfort, irrespective of when they began planning for the day that they would stop earning a salary.
