Prodigy Finance is a platform that enables financing for international postgraduate students at the world’s best universities, whilst delivering competitive financial and social returns to alumni, institutional and private investors.
Prodigy Finance was started by three INSEAD MBA graduates who experienced firsthand the difficulties of financing an international MBA. In 2007, they set out to solve this problem.
Our mission is to enable and empower a new generation of global talent, by being a borderless finance model that allows investors to support aspiring graduate students from around the world, regardless of geography. We are enabling today’s leaders to invest in tomorrow’s – a global community of the talented that is transforming access to postgraduate education.
The innovative platform offers loans to international postgraduate students attending the top universities. Through our community platform alumni, institutional investors and qualified private investors earn competitive financial returns, while students gain access to higher education they otherwise may not have been able to finance.
We have disbursed loans to 4225 students from 115 different countries. Most students would not have been able to attend their programs if they did not receive a loan from us. 75% of our students are from the developing world and 66% return to their home countries within 5 years, supporting the growth of economies, businesses and communities worldwide. More than 10 Prodigy fundees have already founded new companies after graduating, creating jobs in India, Russia, and the Middle East. Our community of alumni and institutional investors have earned returns of up to 5% while assisting these students in reaching their potential.
Our achievements have been highlighted by a number of leading publications such as the Financial Times, Businessweek, and Wall Street Journal for revolutionising student finance. We were recently included on the FinTech50 and Leap100 lists.
