Simpligive is a mobile app that enables church members to conveniently pay their tithes and offering as well as make financial contributions to specific church causes.
Our goal is to enable churches to collect funds effectively for their causes through Simpligive.
The majority of churches worldwide are fully dependant on financial contributions from their members in order to run on a month to month basis and in Africa these contributions are still 95% cash based.
We found that 67% of church members give according to what they have in their pockets at the time of giving. On a typical weekend - on average - a third of a church’s regular attendees are absent and during the holiday season, church attendance is much lower than usual.
This drop in attendance, as well as the fact that people carry less cash, has a negative impact on the amount of money received during the service. We have found that despite their absence, members are still willing to contribute to their churches on a regular basis.
